Refund & Cancellation Policy

Last updated: July 2026

This policy explains how cancellations and refunds are handled for professional services engaged through Startup Pandit (“Startup Pandit”, “we”, “us”). We want every founder to engage us with confidence, so our terms are written to be fair and transparent. The specific commercials for your engagement are always confirmed in a written proposal or engagement letter, which prevails if anything here differs.

Nature of our services

We provide professional, human-delivered services — advisory, drafting, filing, design, development and related work — often involving statutory or government fees paid to third parties. Because work begins on effort and time rather than a shippable product, refunds are assessed against the stage of work completed at the point of cancellation, not on an all-or-nothing basis.

Government fees & third-party charges

Statutory fees, stamp duty, government portal charges, registry fees and any amounts payable to third parties (for example the MCA, GST portal, Trade Marks Registry or certifying bodies) are non-refundable once paid or submitted on your behalf, as we cannot recover them. Where quoted, our professional fee is shown separately from these pass-through charges.

Cancellation by you

  • Before work begins: if you cancel before we have started work or incurred any third-party cost, you are eligible for a full refund of professional fees paid, less any payment-gateway charges.
  • After work has begun: we refund the professional fee on a pro-rata basis for the portion of work not yet performed, retaining a fair amount for time, effort and resources already committed. Government and third-party fees already paid are non-refundable.
  • After a filing or submission: once an application, return or registration has been submitted to an authority, the corresponding professional fee is non-refundable, as the service has substantially been delivered.

Delays outside our control

Government processing times, portal downtime, departmental queries, objections and third-party turnaround are outside our control and are not grounds for a refund. We keep you informed and continue to pursue your matter to completion at no extra professional fee for the agreed scope.

Rejections & re-submissions

If an application is objected to or rejected by an authority, we will advise on the reason and, where the objection falls within the agreed scope, prepare the necessary reply or re-submission. A rejection by an authority — which can occur for reasons beyond our work — is not by itself a basis for a refund of professional fees.

How to request a cancellation or refund

Email hello@startuppandit.com from your registered email with your name and engagement details. We acknowledge requests within two business days and process approved refunds to the original payment method, typically within seven to fourteen business days depending on your bank or payment provider.
